Chris McKay

Born and raised on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast in Morehead City, Chris McKay moved to the High Country in 2001 to attend Appalachian State University, where he earned his degree in Music Industry with a minor in Business. It was during his college years at the swing dance club that he met his wife, Breanna. In 2008, they chose to plant deep roots in Breanna’s hometown of Lenoir, where they have raised two incredible, high-achieving children: Izzy, a high school senior, class president, varsity cheerleader, and small business owner; and Braeden, a rising junior who was recently accepted into the prestigious NC School of Science and Math.

With a successful 18-year career in advertising sales, Chris has built a reputation for stellar communication, sharp marketing strategy, and an unwavering commitment to his clients’ best interests. For Chris and Breanna, real estate has always been the ultimate goal—a perfect opportunity to combine their unique talents. Deeply devoted to his faith and family, Chris is actively involved in his community. Outside of real estate, you can find the McKay family managing their local food truck, traveling, exploring the regional culinary scene as self-proclaimed foodies, or hitting the dance floor to swing and shag.
